Microsoft Cloud Lab At West University Of Timisoara
According to the Romanian newspaper, Ziarul Financiar, Microsoft recently launched their cloud lab at the West University of Timisoara in Romania.
The university’s faculty and student body now have complete access to seamless computational power as provided by the Microsoft cloud.
Microsoft has created a cloud-enabled laboratory which provides complete access to the public cloud servers while maintaining minimal hardware requirements at the access points.
As it would be evident, it is not only the West University of Timisoara which is eligible for this upgrade.
As it turns out, Microsoft wishes to provide such facilities as an initiative for schools and universities to enable learning by both traditional as well as modern technological means while conducting research on the current fields of IT and Cloud Computing at the same time.
As a result, as long as any university is willing to pay the fee for it, the facilities can be granted to them.
It is built on an on-demand scheme, so end users can skip waiting-queues, and other configuration and adjustment hassles which are otherwise found in more traditional data centers.
Microsoft Cloud Lab And Rising Trends Of Cloud Computing
With the current rise in the trends of Cloud Computing, this installation of the cloud-enabled laboratory within the lab will turn to be quite beneficial for most students, researchers, and professionals alike.
It may yield newer data and findings in the field of cloud computing and help spread awareness of the cloud even further.
In any case, this instance will serve as a primer for other universities to follow suit soon and start investing in cloud computing technologies as fields of studies for both research and performance.
